1952 Buick Super Eight "pillerless" 2-Door Coupe
The story of Gary and Debra Hendricks 1952 Buick goes back a few years as well as a concept ago. Gary's original vision was that of a Sport Roadster with profound body modifications and as that took shape, Gary was compelled to bring it back to a more pure hotrod / pro touring / drag / custom multi dimensional fun monster machine.
Jeff located a 1952 stock body in Idaho and a 30+ year restoration with paint made a perfect candidate. Gary bought it.
The Morrison chassis was massaged and personalized under Gary's watchful eye. AirLift suspension, custom EVOD wheels, brutish 454 BBC mated to a TH400 and Gear Vendors OD turn the Currie 9" Ford rearend and 4 Corner Wilwood disc brakes bring it to a stop!
A very unique part of the car is the custom exhaust hand built by Josh Moyorga and helped by Rich Waitas at Magnaflow. It actually has 2 systems. The muffled side for quiet smooth running, then a diverted system to bypass the mufflers when increased engine sound is desired . . . . know what I mean?
Getting ready to hit the streets. The first show target is the "In N Out" event in mid October 2023 at the Pomona Drag Strip, then off to the GNRS in February of 2024.
UPDATE: Won 1st place in the "Mild Custom Hardtop/Sedan 49-54" at the GNRS!!
